Our Approach
Every organization is an ecosystem.
Organizations are not collections of isolated events. They are interconnected systems of people, leadership, culture, policies, relationships and decisions. When harm occurs in one part of the ecosystem, the effects can ripple throughout the entire organization.
Our approach recognizes that protecting people and protecting organizations are not competing goals: they are intertwined.
PREVENTStrategic Risk Assessments
Before harm turns into a lawsuit, resignation or headline, we help organizations assess where workplace culture and unresolved conflict create risk. Organizations can address the vulnerabilities early with integrity in order to prevent harm and ultimately prevent spending thousands of dollars in a courtroom.
Our strategic risk assessments examine organizational systems, workplace practices and areas of concern to identify emerging risks and opportunities for strengthening organizational integrity.
We help executive leaders:
-Recognize warning signs earlier
-Reduce legal and organizational risk
-Strengthen decision-making
-Prevent harm before it escalates
RESPOND
Independent Neutral Investigations
When concerns arise, trust matters. When harm has already occurred, how it is investigated matters as much as what was found. Our investigations are independent, thorough and fair to everyone involved. Grounded in 25 years of investigation and civil rights experience, we are not a compliance checklist but pay careful attention to what a credible investigation requires.
Beyond Acknowledgement operates neutral and thorough investigations into workplace concerns, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation and workplace conduct matters.
Our investigations prioritize:
-Impartiality
-Fairness
-Dignity
-Organizational learning
REPAIR
Beyond Acknowledgment Peacemaking & Rooted Conflict Transformation ™
Acknowledgement is only the beginning. Sustainable change requires understanding the deeper patterns, relationships and systems that allow harm to continue.
Beyond Acknowledgement Peacemaking & Rooted Conflict Transformation™ is a framework created by the founder, who is an Indigenous/Chicana and praticed in tribal courts. Our approach integrates the core principles rooted in Indigenous peacemaking court principles where conflict is not between two parties but a larger communal disruption. This perspective is not about importing Indigenious practices into an organization. It is about carrying forward a different justice tradition that understands conflict as restorative and relational as part of the response.
This work supports organizations in:
-Understanding the root causes
-Addressing the ecosystem-not an individual problem.
-Transforming conflict
-Creating pathways to sustainable change
